Cellulite — also known as adiposis edematosa or “orange peel skin” — is caused by an uneven distribution of adipose tissue, water and metabolic waste, combined with oedematous and fibrous changes within the subcutaneous layer. For many women, the dimpled, textured appearance that most often occurs on the thighs, buttocks and abdomen can be a source of frustration and insecurity.
While there is no miracle cure that eliminates cellulite entirely, aromatherapy and essential oils offer a natural, supportive approach to improving the look and feel of cellulite-affected areas. When combined with a regular massage routine and complementary methods such as dry brushing, they can help smooth the skin, improve tone, and visibly soften the appearance of uneven or sagging areas.
Used daily after a bath or shower, this nourishing blend helps combat dryness, dehydration and environmental damage throughout both summer and winter. Versatile and deeply moisturizing, it can be applied from head to toe as a body oil, massage oil, facial massage treatment, or even a revitalizing scalp oil.
Sweet almond oil is obtained by cold pressing, pale yellow in colour, slightly vicious and very oily. Contains Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E, unsaturated fatty acids, proteins and minerals such as: iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and zinc. Vitamins A and E are included in the “vitamins of youth”, which positively affect the firmness and elasticity of the skin, delaying the aging process. Sweet almond oil is a great emollient that prevents dehydration of skin cells, which is why it moisturizes the skin.
Avocado oil has strong smoothing and regenerating properties. Rebuilds the protective lipid layer, protects against excessive moisture loss, and stimulates collagen synthesis. So I could not ignore it in the choice of ingredients.
Jojoba wax oil consists mainly of saturated and unsaturated alcohols and fatty acids. Jojoba oil contains a lot of vitamin A, which supports the natural functioning of the skin, vitamin E, which accelerates skin regeneration and slows down the aging process, vitamin F, which immunostimulates the skin and the whole body. Jojoba oil is similar to sebum secreted by human skin.
Essential oils that help to fight cellulite stimulate the circulation of blood and lymph, help to remove excess water and toxins from the body.
Juniper essential oil stimulates blood and lymph circulation in the skin, supports proper blood supply, regenerates the tissue, helping to reduce stretch marks and eliminate cellulite. It cleans, firms and helps remove toxins from the body.
Grapefruit essential oil applied on the skin has a firming, astringent properties, supporting circulatory and lymphatic system. Used as an additive to blend, it reduces stretch marks, inhibits the formation of cellulite. Eliminates toxins from the body. Accelerates metabolism, regulates digestion and cholesterol levels.
Fennel sweet oil has a very nice anise smell and calming effect on the nervous system. Used for skin care cleanses and tones the skin, especially matte, greasy or wrinkled. Baths and massages with the use of this oil inhibit the accumulation of toxic waste in subcutaneous adipose tissue. Also relieves gastric disorders, dyspepsia, reduces fluid retention, helps with obesity (reduces appetite) and regulates the menstrual cycle.
Contraindications to use: avoid in pregnancy, if epileptic, whilst breastfeeding and for children under 2 years old. Could irritate sensitive skin.
Directions for use:
It’s the best to use the blend twice a day – in the morning and in the evening.
1.Apply the oil into the body parts affected by cellulite (legs, thighs, buttocks, abdomen). Then wrap them with stretch foil. After 30 minutes take off the wrap and take a warm shower.
2.Pour 3 -6 drops of the blend into the bathtub with warm water (the water temperature should not exceed 38 degrees C – oils will evaporate too quickly ). Soak for about 20 minutes and massage any floating droplets into your skin. The windows and bathroom doors should be closed. Do not wash after.
3.Apply a few drops of the blend and gently massage the body parts affected by cellulite using circular movements. Leave the oil to absorb into the skin, do not wash off.
